We had such big plans for today! Ginny had a 10am appointment at a portrait studio that had actually taken some pretty good family pictures while I was pregnant so we were anxious to see what we knew would be an adorable photo shoot.
Alas, it was not meant to be. When we arrived at 10, it turned out there were no photographers on duty till noon so we farted around the mall for 2 hours, buying a bunch of pacifiers and checking out some of the stores. I guess between that and the cold air of the photo studio, Ginny was All Done by the time we tried to get her settled into the black velvet drape covered bean bag for the first photographs. She fussed and cried (and eventually peed in the velvet drape) until we decided to bag the attempt entirely. The minute we got her dressed and out of the studio, she was peaceful again. Don’t tell her, but we’ve rescheduled for later this week and will have a better plan this time.
